Replacing Hard Drives
Older PC-based systems that use a disk-based operating systems may pose a problem if you need to replace a defective hard disk drive. The IDE or PATA 40-pin hard disk drives that are used in many of these systems are no longer available, new or used. Even if you can locate a usable IDE hard drive, your computer hardware may require a hard drive below a certain capacity. For example, many systems built in the late '90s had a 8 Gb drive limit. In some systems, you were able to use larger drives and create an 8 Gb partition, using it as an 8 Gb drive. In other systems, this would not work. Our replacement Solid State Drives are available in 8gb to 512 Gb sizes, allowing you to select the size that will work on your system.
